March 29, 2016 (agghhhh... cramps and water shortage!!!)
I got menstruation. This is the first day so it's supeeeerrrrr hard. I'm having cramps. :'0 but I shouldn't take a rest nor just stay in my bed because we have lots of paper works to do. I was assign in organizing the honors of every grades. It's already summer. It's just cool that it's easy for us to go home now every weekend because the path is not muddy anymore, but the bad side with this is that we're having water shortage now in San Miguel because everything is already dry. This place is a mountain so it's really hard to find water. We walk a mile just to get water and we usually follow a very long line there and the water drop is just so slow. (deep sigh) :(
My experience right now makes me cry deep inside. Grabe, I can see how contented people are here. They're already contented with this life. They neither murmur nor plan in transferring house in the town. Though their life is like this, they're happy and contented with everything. I hope that people who has everything will also be contented with what they have. I'm happy and grateful to have met this kind of people here. Everyday we're just budgeting our water usage by a 1/4 water in a container and not to wash our clothes anymore. Instead I just keep them and wash it when I go home in Bobon. Water is not really enough here. There are some who's totally not taking a bath anymore. Honestly it feels gross this week because I have my period even if I'm already taking a bath. I sometimes manage to use exactly 3 tabo(water dipper) of water in taking a bath. One for the first part, then do shampoo and soap at the same time, lastly take 2 tabo and I'm done! I only did this here. haha

"And it came to pass that we lived after the manner of happiness"
During the time that I'm still in the mission field, I love sharing that verse to the people I met. For a lot of reason, it makes me so happy and grateful while sharing it. During this time of great challenges, this verse inspires me a lot. I'm grateful to be able to read this again during my personal study and funny that this is really timely. Despite of the many challenges, we should not turn away from the Lord and if we will follow Him, we will never live in a manner of sadness. The Lord's way is the only way of happiness, not just Temporal but ETERNAL HAPPINESS. It's our choice to be happy or to be sad. This decision sometimes affects our natural character. Yes, we are human and sometimes we experience sadness, frustration, discouragement and even murmur. But the way of God is the sure way that will help us fight this great despair. GOD IS THE WAY! IT'S OUR CHOICE TO BE HAPPY OR TO BE SAD...WE CAN LIVE IN THE MANNER OF HAPPINESS. :)
